Marshfield Road Runners Summer Youth Track Series

The Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track Club (MRRYTC) is a non-profit organization based in Marshfield, Massachusetts, which offers instruction and competition in Cross Country, Track & Field and Road Racing to boys and girls of all abilities up to the age of fourteen from the South Shore and beyond. The MRRYTC offers young runners an organized, low cost team environment based around personal individual goals.
Marshfield Road Runners Youth Track Club is well known for hosting the highly successful Summer Youth Track Series. Summer 2026 will mark the 51st year of the Series!
Track races will be held each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm for eight weeks beginning July 8, 2026 through August 26, 2026 at the Marshfield High School Community track behind the Martinson Elementary School.
On odd weeks, kids can run a 100M, 400M and mile; adults and high schoolers run one mile. On even weeks, kids typically run a 200M, 800M and mile; adults and high schoolers run one mile. The 3 and 4 year olds only run the 50 & 100 each week. We start every race night with the toddler 1 and 2 year old 20 meter race that will start promptly at 6:00! The now infamous Marshfield Milk Mile Girl's Cross Country fundraiser will be held August 5th! We also plan on having additional surprise events throughout the summer, including the Family and Friends 4x400!
Following the toddlers, we will then begin with the 3 year old girls running the 50M race, followed by the 3-year-old boys in the 50; then the 4 year-old girls, then 4 year-old boys. After that, the kids are split into groups by age into two-year increments and gender (Depending on numbers, the older age groups may be split as well). We continue in this way up through high school age. The All Ages Mile usually starts between 7 and 7:30 PM. Mom and Dads, don’t forget to wear your running shoes!
Entry is free, but there is a collection for donations (cash or venmo) to help us defray the costs of ribbons. There are T-shirts available for sale for only $10.00. Every child gets at least one ribbon. Records are kept and the names of the first three in each event are published on this Facebook page.
