The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA is excited to announce the 2024 Marshalltown Y Tri (Triathlon) will be held June 22. As part of the event, participants will swim, bike and run.
The swimming will be held in the Y Lap Pool, while the biking and running portions of the triathlon will be on the nearby Linn Creek Recreational Trail.
There will be a division for adults ages 17 and over and youth ages 6-16.
• Swim - 400 yards In the Y indoor lap pool, Youth distance: 100 yards
• Bike - 15K (9.4 miles) On the Linn Creek Trail from the Y to Riverview Park and back, Youth distance: 4 miles
• Run / Jog - 5K (3.1 miles) On the Linn Creek Trail from the Y west and back Youth distance: 1 mile
Time: Adult (ages 17 and up) starts at 7 a.m. in Y pool (staggered start) Youth (ages 6-16) event will follow.
Cost: Adult $75, Youth $50 if register by May 15 (includes T-Shirt). After May 15: $95 for adult/$60 youth Registration deadline (No T-shirt): June 15.
