Classical artist Marky Barto invites you to her second SOLO ART EXHIBITION at the Art Plus Gallery in West Reading from November 1st through November 29th!
Building upon the foundation of her inaugural show “In the Footsteps of the Old Masters”, this exhibit showcases a mature progression in classical realism. The collection pairs newly executed oil paintings and charcoal drawings with select foundational works, offering a comprehensive view of Marky’s ongoing dialogue with the past. Utilizing dramatic chiaroscuro (play of light and dark) and isolated compositions, the exhibition pulls quiet subjects out of deep shadow to reveal luminous form, rich texture and profound intimacy. Come experience the array of subjects - from intimate still-lifes to evocative animal portraits - and prepare for a quiet rebellion against fast-paced digital world.
