Market Series: Direct Pay/Elective Pay

This panel discussion, co-hosted by Interfaith Power & Light, will explore the recently introduced “Direct Pay” or Elective Pay Solar PV Incentive, made available through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Historically, the significant tax credit (up to 30%) for solar system purchases was accessible only to taxpayers, excluding non-profits. With the IRA’s passage, non-profits can now apply for a federal reimbursement check covering 30% of the cost of a solar PV project.

The discussion will cover:

1. Steps non-profits can take to access this incentive.
2. Key considerations for deciding whether to rent or own a solar system.
