Then turn your discoveries into poems and share — building deeper, more meaningful connections during this facilitated experience.

At We Met in Miami events, we wear wristbands that show others who we are and what we’re looking for (choose one, two or all three):

Free parking is plentiful at Vizcaya Village. The village is across the street from the Main House & Gardens.

Agenda:

5 p.m. Market opens. Enjoy live music, check out the vendors, and grab dinner.

6 p.m. Check in begins. Stop by the We Met in Miami booth. Grab your wristbands and name tags.

6:30 p.m. Opening. We'll start with some introductions and an opening icebreaker.

6:45 p.m. Market word search. We’ll put you in pairs or small groups to explore the market together, searching for words and phrases to serve as poetic inspiration.

7:15 p.m. Create a collective word bank. We’ll come back together as a group and make a collective bank of our words and phrases.

7:30 p.m. Writing session. In new small groups, we’ll write poetry incorporating the words and phrases in our bank. Then we’ll share our poems with our groups.

8:15 p.m. Share. Poets may choose to step up to the mic and share their writing with the full group.

9 p.m. Market closes. Meet someone cool? Drop your Connection Card in the Matchbox. If you match, we’ll help you reconnect after the event.
