🌿 Market Medicine: Monthly Cooking Workshop 🌿Every 3rd Sunday | 3pm–5pm | The Kitchen at Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness
Join us for Market Medicine, a recurring, hands-on cooking workshop where we explore the power of food as medicine. This monthly gathering happens the day after our Farmers Market Meetup (every 3rd Saturday), where we source fresh, seasonal, and locally grown produce together. On Sunday, we bring those ingredients into the kitchen to learn nourishing recipes that highlight Indigenous foodways and seasonal eating.
Each month, we’ll dive into a new recipe or cooking technique using the ingredients we picked out at the market — this is more than a cooking class: it’s a space to learn how our foods can heal in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual ways.

Group meal prep and recipe demonstrations
Conversations around Indigenous food sovereignty and traditional nutrition
Cultural context and medicinal uses of ingredients
A shared meal and time to reflect, connect, and enjoy
No prior cooking experience needed.

We encourage participants to join the Farmers Market Meetup on Saturday to help pick ingredients, but it's not required to attend the cooking workshop on Sunday.
