Jazz Singer/Lyricist Mark Winkler will be celebrating the Success of his latest album "The Rules Don't Apply." It reached #4 on the Jazz Charts and #1 on the Amazon Hot New Releases for Jazz Singers.
He will be playing songs from that album, and some new songs and old favorites!

Mark Winkler is a platinum award-winning singer/lyricist who has had over 250 of his songs recorded by such artists as Dianne Reeves, Liza Minnelli and Jane Monheit. Recording twenty one albums, which regularly place high on the jazz charts and has had articles written about him in the Los Angeles Times, Jazziz and Jazz Times magazines.

His last two albums The Rules Don't Apply and Late Bloomin’ Jazzman reached #4 and #7 on the Jazz Week charts and "Late Bloomin' Jazzman" has received a Four Star DownBeat Review, as well as being awarded “Outstanding Singer/Songwriter Album” by the Bistro Awards in New York.

Winkler has performed in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo and Australia.

And he has a book coming out in August called "The Songwriter's Handbook" which is an expansion of his lyric writing classes t he's been teaching for 19 years at UCLA Extension, The Songwriters School and Jazzvoice.com.
