With a voice that’s been described as Howlin’ Wolf & Johnny Cash meet Leonard Cohen & Randy Newman at the annual Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong BarBQ & Picnic, Blues & Roots bassist Mark “Pocket” Goldberg sings original, honest, world-weary songs over funky, old-school Blues, Rock n’ Roll & Rhythm & Blues grooves with a sense of humor.
After a lifetime of recording & touring with such Blues Legends as Floyd Dixon, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Canned Heat, Mick Fleetwood’s Blue Whale, Terry Evans & Barry (No Relation) Goldberg, & many others, “Pocket” has released seven albums of original songs.
His new band features local legends Doug Norman on drums & vocals, John Gulla on guitar & Ginger Norman on vocals.
