The Mark Lewis Trio is coming to Port Townsend!Where: Vintage at Port Townsend Vineyards, 725 Water Street, Port Townsend WA

Mark will be joined by an international jazz master Tommy V on piano and Jon Green on bass. And there’s no cover charge!
Saxophonist and flutist Mark Lewis has enlivened jazz scenes from Seattle and San Francisco to Rotterdam and Paris, and has created a vast and intensely stimulating body of music over the past four decades, including nearly 1,800 compositions. Rotterdam, the Netherlands was Mark's home base for many years. He toured and played in the better clubs throughout Europe, and taught jazz theory and improvised music classes in several music conservatories. Mark lived and performed for several years in San Francisco and Victoria, BC as well.

About the Musicians:

Mark lived and performed for several years in San Francisco and Victoria, BC as well.
Our featured pianist was leader of the house band at Hermann’s Jazz Club for over 30 years. He had a steady gig at Victoria’s famous Empress Hotel for 16 years and also had a steady gig with Mark Lewis, when Mark lived in Victoria. He was a bandsman in the Canadian Navy Band and toured Canada with the Canadian Forces Jazz Quintet. He landed in Victoria through his last posting as Bandmaster at Royal Roads Military College.
Jon Green has proven himself as a versatile and excellent bassist, having made a name for himself in both the jazz and the classical music scenes.
