Welcome aboard the MV Balmoral the 1949 built excursion ship. Have a wonder around the vessel, walk through the engine room and admire the big powerful engines. Take in the history of the ship. All of the hard work thats been done by our amazing team and find out about the future of Balmoral. After all that enjoy a refreshing drink in our britainia lounge which has been restored and put back to its 1950s period there may even be home made cake. The Maritime Volunteer Service (MVS) are great supporters of the MV Balmoral and you can regularly see them on board when we have our open days and evenings.
Today’s open day is for the public to come on board to see what we are doing on the Balmoral, but also to highlight the work that the MVS team do all year round. There will be members of the team you can chat to and work shops you can get involved in.
