The next presentation of the 2024-2025 Door County Medical Center Maritime Speaker Series will be held both in person and online on Thursday, November 7 at 7pm, featuring "Thankful for Our Lives of Adventures" by Mr. and Mrs. Captain Ray Sheldon and Peggy O’Connell. Ray and Peggy O’Connell, better known on the Great Lakes as Mr. and Mrs. Captain, got married on the Joseph L. Block in 2019. During this month of giving thanks, come hear about their latest adventures as an update to their 2023 talk about love and life on the Great Lakes .
Captain Ray Sheldon retired as captain of the Joseph L. Block after
a 45-year career on the Great Lakes. He married the love of his life Peggy O’Connell, photographer and entrepreneur, on the deck of the Block in 2019. They have been adventuring all over the Great Lakes region ever since.
