Join us for the 34th annual Marion Arts Festival in beautiful Uptown Marion!🖼️ Discover Exceptional Art: From stunning paintings and intricate sculptures to handcrafted jewelry and unique ceramics, you'll find an array of original creations to admire and acquire. This is your chance to connect directly with the artists and bring home a piece you'll treasure for years to come.
🏃♀️ Kick off your morning with the Marion Arts Festival Half Marathon & 5K: Happening alongside the art festival, the MAF Half Marathon and 5K starts the morning off outside Vernon Middle School. Sign ups available until the night before the race (May 15)!
🎶 Enjoy Live Music: Let the music create an ambient back drop in the Central Plaza while you enjoy lunch or take a break in the beautiful Uptown Marion landscape.
🍔 Savor Local Flavors: Treat your taste buds to delicious offerings from local food vendors in the plaza: Villas Patio, Goldfinch, and Uptown Coffee. Additional eats located inside the various Uptown Marion businesses!
🥣 Support Local Food Banks with Empty Bowls: Participate in our cherished Empty Bowls sale, featuring a beautiful collection of handcrafted bowls created by talented local students and artists. By purchasing a bowl, you'll not only acquire a unique piece of art but also directly contribute to area food banks, helping to combat food insecurity within our community. It's a meaningful way to make a difference while supporting local creativity.
🎨 Experience Live Art & Community: Witness art in the making with live art demonstrations and projects happening throughout the day in Marion Square Park. Engage with the creative process and maybe even try your hand at something new with the Ceramics Center, 237 Collective, Iowa City Press Co-Op or shadow puppeteering mastery with Darren Crow! These activities are a celebration of community and creativity for all ages.
