Player 2 is hosting our FREE monthly Mario Kart Tournament, but this time we'll be bringing the competition to the 21st century by playing on the Nintendo Switch!Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament on Nintendo Switch. Every 2nd Sunday of the month at 12:30pm.
Registration will close at 12:30pm. All entries are free. All ages are welcome as long as they follow the P2 policy that any person under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The tournament format will be based on number of entries. For tournaments with 20 or less people, each player will play 3 sets of 4 races. Points will be accumulated based on place in each race and totaled up. The top 4 will play a final round. Tournaments with 21 or more participants will be put into 4 v 4 single elimination brackets. Each bracket will be 4 races with the top 2 scores advancing if there are less than 50 people, or just the top score advancing if there are more than 50 people.
The standard format for the set of races will be 4 vs 4 (if possible), VS Mode, 150 cc, No CPUs, Normal Items, No Smart Steering or Auto-Drive, Random Stages, and all kart combinations available. Downloadable Content will be used. Any changes that are made will be announced ahead of time. Players are encouraged to bring their own controllers to avoid controller conflicts but there will be controllers available. Free tokens will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
