Join the MDC Team for an immersive Marine Habitat Restoration journey! From Zoom classes with virtual deep dives into reef science and seagrass ecology to hands‑on field days in Mosquito Lagoon and the Florida Keys, this course puts you right in the action. Snorkel real restoration sites, visit Mote Marine Laboratory, tour FWC facilities, and learn directly from marine experts working to rebuild our coastal ecosystems. Whether it’s seagrass, corals, sponges, or artificial reefs—you’ll see how restoration happens up close and discover how you can make a difference.
Additional fee of $175 for field activities to be collected by MDC before the start of class. Students would need to find their own accommodations for field activities in the Florida Keys.
