Marin County Operational Area Partner Meeting
About this Event
On November 18, 2026, the Marin County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will host an Operational Area tabletop exercise and discussion focused on atmospheric storms, king tides, and emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. The event will be held at the College of Marin’s Jonas Center from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We will kick off with a plenary discussion from Monterey County Department of Emergency Management to discuss lessons learned from their March 2023 storm response.
The exercise discussion will bring together Operational Area partners, subject-matter experts, and key stakeholders role in atmospheric storms and king tides. Exercise players will discuss preparedness considerations, response capabilities, operational challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities to strengthen interagency coordination.
The event is intended to promote meaningful dialogue and provide partners with valuable information to support regional preparedness, planning, and coordinated response efforts.
Broad participation from our Operational Area partners is strongly encouraged, as the exchange of diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise will contribute to strengthening our collective preparedness and response capabilities.
