supplies are quality-of-life necessities. So are dignity, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
Financial insecurity makes it difficult, if not impossible, to have all, some, or any of them.
Food pantries bridge the gap between staying alive and eating for health.
Non-food pantries make it possible to have warm, clean clothes and a safe place to sleep.
Marilyn's Place Non-Food Pantry provides the tangible goods clients need when they need
them [mission], and restores the intangibles [vision] by making the experience look and
feel as much like a "normal" shopping trip as possible - freedom of choice over what to
buy and a variety of brands, sizes, flavors, forms, etc., to choose from, balanced by
the limitations and responsibility of a budget [means].
