I have lived most of my life in forested areas- always appreciating the “trees of life” as the sentinels of our planet. It is something you don’t really have to explain- their presence elicits feelings of comfort and wonderment in our cycle of life. The circular shape of some of the paintings represents a state of infinity as if they will be in this world forever. Shapes of branches and tree trunks along with plays on light create movement in the pieces. This movement pushes the shapes around the circular edges of the paintings.
