Margam Castle was completed in 1813 for the Talbot family, built in an elaborate Tudor-Gothic style. It stands on land once occupied by Margam Abbey, founded in 1147, whose ruins still lie nearby. The castle later served various roles, including military use in World War I, and today is known for both its striking architecture and its long-standing reputation for reported paranormal activity.
