Celebrate Carnival season at the 8th Annual Mardi Gras 10K / 5K & Kids' Half Mile, produced by the New Orleans Track Club! Race day is Saturday, February 2 2025 in Metairie, Louisiana. The race start and finish is at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Boulevard and North Causeway Boulevard in front of Lakeside Shopping Center.
The Mardi Gras 10K / 5K and Kids' Half Mile is a family friendly run / walk with the race finish coinciding with Jefferson Parish's annual FREE Family Gras festival and their headlining musical acts. Light refreshments and beer available for participants post-race. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase, and concert admission is free and open to the public. Following the Family Gras music festival lineup will be the Magical Krewe of Mad Hatter's parade along the traditional Veterans Memorial Boulevard route.
Event Day Schedule:
- Packet Pickup - 6:30 AM
- Pre-race Stretch Class - 7:15 AM
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run - 7:30 AM
- Registration Closes - 7:45 AM
- 10K & 5K - 8:00 AM
- Award Ceremony - 9:30 AM (subject to change)
Early packet pickup is STRONGLY encouraged for the Mardi Gras 5K & Kids' Half Mile. Details will be announced closer to race day.
Limited race day packet pickup will happen on race morning, from 6:30 AM until 7:45 AM am at the race site in the Veterans Memorial Square park near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Blvd. and North Causeway Blvd. This is directly across from the Macy's is Lakeside Shopping Center. Please arrive early to secure your shirt and bib if picking up on race morning.
Race packets include bib number with attached B-Tag timing chip and soft cotton participant shirt. Shirt sizes are ONLY guaranteed to pre-registered participants who sign up online prior to February 17th. Finisher medals will be distributed after crossing the 10K / 5K finish line.
