The First Annual "Mardi Glow J Street Block Party" giving you another yearly event and night of your life to look forward to!
J Street Magic Creates: authentic Louisiana rooted sounds supporting electronic funk, reggae, rock soul, jam-band heat, DJ switchovers, Mardi Gras masks and neon, pop-up performances, street-party moments that feel straight off a concert poster. Early evening paints the block for families; late night turns up for the young adults and young-at-heart!

Meet us at the Cultural Plaza & join our sidewalk parade!

What is and why Mardi Glow?
Mardi Gras = “Fat Tuesday!"
It’s known as, and created for, the final day of feasting and celebration. The idea is to enjoy rich foods, parties, parades, and a masquerade before a period of fasting & discipline. So make this your last night before making some life changes or your perfect reason to rage after your busy week! We shall extend and carry on the traditions of parades, masks, beads, doubloons, costumes, and king cake! Purple = justice, Green = faith, Gold = power and this party equals fun! Come celebrate with your friends and family right here on the J Street Block in DTLWB!
