Join us on the 22nd with Special Guest Sean Crumpacker from Equality Florida. PLUS - After the Gathering, we will be filling up goodie bags for the Volusia Youth Pride Prom! Equality Florida's mission is to secure full equality for Florida's LGBTQ community, striving to create a state where no one suffers harassment or discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. WHAT ARE GATHERINGS? Christ-centered support gatherings rooted in the Latter-day Saint faith, welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals, loved ones, and allies from all denominations. Whether you’re exploring how to be a better ally, looking for community, or hoping to share and listen to real experiences, you are welcome here. Together, we celebrate faith, love, and the unique journeys that make each of us
who we are.
HOW IS A GATHERING? We begin with a hymn, followed by a prayer, and then make announcements on events happening in the community. We also feature "Rainbow Connection" (a discussion about the advocacy we have undertaken with the LGBTQ+ community over the last month) and address a topic. Then we let our special guest share their story with us.
Water and light refreshments will be provided. If you would like to bring snacks to share, that would be wonderful.
