March Saturday Guided Walk – Ingleborough from Clapham via Gaping Gill – Yorkshire Dales – 11 miles/17km – 2000ft/650m ascent
Join Yorkie Talkies Outdoors for a fantastic guided walk up Ingleborough, one of the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks and the second highest of the three, standing at 2,373ft (723m).
Starting from the picturesque village of Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, we'll follow beautiful walking trails through limestone scenery, passing the spectacular Gaping Gill, one of the most famous natural caves in the Yorkshire Dales, with a dramatic 98m deep main chamber.
Our route continues towards the summit of Ingleborough, where we'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding countryside before making our descent.
This 11-mile guided hill walk is ideal for anyone preparing for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, looking to build hillwalking fitness or simply wanting to enjoy a rewarding day hiking in the Yorkshire Dales. With an experienced YTO walk leader taking care of the navigation, you can concentrate on enjoying the scenery and fresh air.
Meeting Point
Please meet at 9am at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park, Church Avenue, Clapham, Lancaster LA2 8EQ – boots on and ready to go.
