Founder & CEO of THE HOTEL INSIDER, a digital marketing agency specializing in elevating select-service hotels through strategic AI-driven media and modern storytelling. She partners with hotel owners and operators to help their properties rise in AI travel searches, stand out in competitive markets, and build long-term brand credibility—while driving measurable results through increased visibility, guest engagement, and direct bookings.
A Knoxville, Tennessee native, Marcedes was raised in a family of hoteliers, making hospitality a lifelong passion. She began her career from the ground up—folding towels, washing dishes, waiting tables, and learning firsthand what exceptional service truly looks like. Her journey led her to New York City, where she worked at the Hard Rock Café while attending St. John’s University and competing as a Division I volleyball athlete, before returning home to complete her degree at the University of Tennessee.
With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Marcedes has served as General Manager for multiple prominent hotels and most recently as Regional Director of Operations with Gibson Hotel Management, where she developed and led high-performing teams across Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Wyndham brands. Her unique background also includes graphic design and video production—bringing a rare blend of operational expertise and creative strategy to the hospitality marketing space.
Today, through THE HOTEL INSIDER, she connects modern, experience driven travelers with outstanding select-service hotels - helping properties not only compete, but lead in a rapidly evolving social media landscape.
