2nd ever “Masters”( over 40) all in one day tournament.Two 10 minute periods running clock. No icing until last 2 minutes of second period if within 2 goals.
Restrictions- tricky here. Many times you go to the masters or over 50 tournys and all the good guys go together on one or 2 teams and you know who’s gonna win immediately ( except draft tournaments). Here is how the restrictions will work .
12 man team( it’s 2 period w running clock)
Each team may have either 3 players that competed in any USA or national team, or A tournys last 5 years or three 37 year olds( that have not done USA, tier 1 Nbhl or A last 5 years) or a combination. Idea is no over stacked teams.
I will have help making sure teams are legal. No surprises every captain will be sent every roster prior to teams clearing( meaning to find a team that has intentionally or unintentionally brought more than 3 of these players).
Trying to give the Masters division a new lane and in one day to keep their Sunday clear.

12 men and a goalie(back up allowed if requested) per team. $540 per team
3 game guarentee.
All in one day tourny rules:
2 ten minute periods.
No icing until last 2 minutes of second period if within 2 goals.
Prelims no time out.
Playoffs one time out.
Can raise stick to call for a pass. If contact made w ball on a high stick it’s a penalty.
Penalties
Minor - 1.5 minute
Major - 3 minutes
Playoff elimination rounds goes straight to shoot out. 3 shooters per team. Then one by one. Every shooter must shoot before a shooter can shoot twice.
Championship has ot. 5 on 5 for ten minutes. No score 4 on 4 for 5 minutes. Shoot out.
No handshake lines until playoffs.
All are standard all in one day tourny rules to keep team costs down and to finish at a reasonable time.
Lastly no fighting. If a punch is thrown the player(s) that threw the punch are out for the day no if ands or buts. This is a Choice Arena rule that I can not override.
Punch thrown gets a 3 tourny suspension as does leaving the bench.
