Get ready to be amazed by one of nature’s most incredible travelers—the monarch butterfly! Each fall, these delicate yet determined insects set off on a breathtaking journey, flying thousands of miles to reach the oyamel fir forests of Mexico.Join a naturalist for a vibrant, hands-on hike as we celebrate the monarchs’ great migration. As we explore sunny prairies and fluttering meadows, we’ll try our hand at catching and tagging monarchs as part of a real citizen science project. It’s your chance to get up close with these winged wonders and contribute to their conservation!
Bring water and be prepared for sun exposure—part of our adventure will take us through the open prairie. Registration required.
