About Ted Glasoe:
Water has always been a central theme in my life. I was born in Minnesota, and grew up in and around freshwater inland lakes learning to swim and sail at an early age. Creativity has also been an ever-present love for me. Growing up I looked for creative expression, and I studied acting through my college years, graduating with a Theatre and Drama degree. I moved to Chicago to pursue a career in the theatre. While working at side jobs, I learned computer and graphic design skills as a software trainer. Finding an artistic another outlet in graphic design. I worked as a designer for the next 30 years, including starting and running a boutique firm with my wife for over 12 years.
I returned to photography as an artistic expression almost 20 years ago. I’m now an award-winning nature and landscape photographer living on the shores of Lake Michigan in Evanston. I have found my artistic niche and built my reputation focusing on imagery showcasing the beauty of water. In the process, I have become more passionate about conservation and protection of Lake Michigan, in particular, and water and our natural world in general. In my work, I strive to show the natural world in as much variety and beauty as possible thereby encouraging viewers to appreciate the amazing natural world all around us.

About Joseph Masunas:
In photography, VISION is the power of observation. It’s how you notice things that are worth capturing, how you document things that are worth remembering.
After several decades working in graphic arts and printing, I enrolled in a photography class at the Art Institute of Chicago to perfect my skills for shooting professional photography. History and memorable stories have been told in a single photograph. I have set my sights on telling my own stories through photography.
One of my first lessons was that the camera is an extension of me, and I should always be ready to capture a perfect shot. A camera enables photographers to freeze fleeting moments, preserving memories and emotions that might otherwise be lost. In my photography, I try to capture the warmth of the sunrise, the sound of the waves crashing against the beach or even the loneliness of a city shut down by a pandemic.
Life is full of imperfections, but there is beauty and freedom in imperfection. I strive to preserve these perfectly, imperfect moments. For this reason, most of my photos are unedited.
My Midwest farmhouse series is one of my few projects that includes editing to create a uniquely colored design. It’s a fun and exciting way to depict what looks like a painted version of a photograph.
I started jrmVision to share my vision and to create cherished memories for others. I am honored to share my work here with you today.
