Evanston Art Center Press Release: Unbounded Territories: Where to Imagine an Alternative

The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to our upcoming exhibition Unbounded Territories: Where to Imagine an Alternative. The exhibition will be on display from March 1 - April 13 2025 and will be free and open to the public.

Unbounded Territories: Where to Imagine an Alternative invites viewers to reflect on the current spaces we inhabit as humans and envision radical alternatives in their place. Unbounded Territories posits that our contemporary spaces—private public and national—are arenas where multiple intersecting struggles materialize. Through diverse approaches and media artists in Unbounded Territories expose how our surroundings from city layouts to office designs shape society's valuation of human work often dulling our senses and alienating us from our labor. 

By highlighting the clash between human creativity's boundless potential and the constraints of capitalist spatial arrangements Unbounded Territories encourages us to consider how collective action might reconfigure our relationship with space reclaiming our full human potential.
