About the guest speaker:

Rashaundra Brookins-Kirk graduated from Bolton High School and later graduated from LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Finance. She is a native Memphian. She earned her school counseling degree from Emporia State University in 2016. She recently completed her Education Specialist in Education Leadership from Keiser University, West Palm Beach, FL in August, 2023 and is in her journey to her Ph D. in Education Leadership.She began her career in counseling at Kansas City Public Schools in 2016 and moved to Florida 2017 where she continued her work in counseling until accepting a role as Director of Guidance and Counseling Services in Kansas City. She has been a PLC Leader for counselors, Lead Teacher for Boys and Girls Club of North Florida, Counseling Curriculum Core Team member and many other leadership opportunities! Her experience is multi-faceted with work in rural, suburban, and urban school districts. She is the mother of 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
