Saxifrage Studio is thrilled to offer a week-long art camp for young artists to explore and develop their artistic skills in a safe and supportive studio environment.Over five days, students will experiment with a variety of artistic techniques:
Cyanotype Printing: A unique photographic technique that creates cyan-blue images using sunlight. This activity introduces students to the interplay of light and chemistry in art.
Scratch Painting: Sgraffito (to scratch) painting techniques and expressive ideas in art to create unique textures and compositions.
Encaustics (Fire Painting): An ancient & therapeutic painting process using molten pigmented beeswax, damar resin and a blow torch to produce beautiful relief artworks.
Ages: 6 -12
Cost: $335
Day camp runs from Monday to Friday
Camps begin at 10:00 am (drop off 9:45 - 10:00 am) and run until 4:00 pm (pick up between 4:00 – 4:15 pm).
