ABOUT MARATHON FOR MENTAL HEALTH


We’re getting moving to celebrate the second year of — a community initiative bringing the yachting industry and wider community together to move, connect and raise awareness for mental health.


Throughout October, participants can run, walk or hike a flexible marathon — completing 42.2km over the course of the month — while raising funds for our selected mental health charity partners.


Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker or simply looking for a fun way to meet others, M4 is open to everyone!

Tickets are FREE.


When registering, you’ll have the option to make a voluntary donation to one of our mental health charity partners. If you choose to donate, please select which charity you would like your donation to support when completing your ticket order.


OUR CHARITY PARTNERS


ISWAN – International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network

Provides free, confidential and multilingual emotional, wellbeing and practical support to yacht crew and their families through services including the 24/7 YachtCrewHelp helpline. Learn more here.

Works to create a mentally healthier hospitality industry by providing hospitality-specific Mental Health First Aid training, mental health services, resources and support. Learn more here.


Yachtie Minds Matter

Works to improve mental health within the yachting community by reducing stigma, providing education and resources, and helping connect yacht crew with accessible mental health support, including therapy and mental health education opportunities. Learn more here.


Switchboard

The UK’s LGBTQIA+ support line, providing a free, confidential listening service via phone, email and online chat. Its volunteers offer a non-judgemental space to talk about anything from relationships and identity to mental health and how you’re feeling. Learn more here.

  • A chance to meet and connect with others in the yachting/wider community
  • An opportunity to contribute towards your M4 2026 mileage
  • Stick around after the run for drinks + nibbles afterwards!


Note: You don’t need to be signed up to Marathon for Mental Health 2026 in order to join this community 5km, but if you would like to sign up you can do so here!


Please come prepared for the weather and wear suitable footwear for the route.
