Join the Marathon County Historical Society, in partnership with the Wisconsin Historical Society, for a free community celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary through the stories, traditions, and history of Marathon County.
Held at the historic Yawkey House and gardens, this family-friendly event will bring together celebrations both new and rooted in the past. Guests can enjoy an ice cream social, live entertainment, historical exhibitions, family activities, and a beard contest inspired by historic styles and local character.
This event invites community members of all ages to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and contribute to the story future generations will inherit. From local history displays to shared community traditions, Marathon County's celebration of America’s 250th anniversary will highlight how national history is shaped by the people and places close to home.
