About this Event

Welcome to the MAPO 2026 Finale & Award Ceremony! Come meet poets from all over MA, celebrate your work with a champagne toast, experience a red carpet entrance, watch/compete in the individual competition finals, receive your team awards, read at our open mic, and enjoy an after party featuring entertainment. Team awards will be presented to every participant across our 3 MA regions: Eastern MA, Central MA, and Western MA.

Location: Smith College Conference Center, located in the cultural enclave of Northampton, MA.

*2:45-3:15 PM: Qualified villanelles

*3:15-3:45 PM: Qualified sonnets

*3:45-4:15 PM: Qualified free verse

*4:15-4:45 PM: Top poet

*4:45-5 PM: Mingle

*5 PM-5:30 Team Medals Ceremony

5:30 PM-6:30 PM: Mingle & Open Mic
