Join Friends of Philomont and Dan LaPre, owner of Vale of the Blue RIdge Maple Farm, for a tour of his tapped maple trees and production space in Hillsboro, VA. Learn the essentials of maple tapping from a seasoned local producer, and have the opportunity to purchase syrup at the end of the tour. The tours normally last about an hour. The location is on Stony Point Road in Hillsboro. Directions will be provided to registered participants a few days before the event. We will be outside so people should dress accordingly and wear good shoes or boots. We will walk a short distance in the woods - not too far though. This event is geared toward adults but is kid-friendly, and all are welcome.
