The divine play of sacred sound. Whether it is offered as a joyful expression of love, entered into as a serene experience of peace, settled upon as a bedrock for the stories of Divinity to continually rebuild themselves, Mantra is an all encompassing journey from effort to ease, from movement to stillness, and from inquiry to understanding to surrender.Understanding the multitude of approaches to mantra can be daunting. What are the rules of chanting? When do they apply?
Why are some mantra for men, women, or priests only? Does pronunciation matter? Isn't intention enough? Has it always been this way? The history and evolution of mantra are important topics, although at times confusing and contradicting. Additionally, exploring the difference between devotion and appropriation can be an intimidating and humbling endeavor.
Put your worries to rest. In this program students learn by way of inquiry, practice, and receptivity. Hold in your hands the sacred lotus of sound and empower yourself to know and express Her wisdom, Her play, and Her peace.
This program is ideal for:
- teachers looking to incorporate more mantra and storytelling into their classes
- students seeking deeper understanding
- activists searching for ways to teach about the appropriation of yoga and mantra that are both purposeful and engaging
- instructors exploring the use of storytelling in their teaching
- anyone whose heart is called to further exploration of Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Truth, as that Truth is expressed through sacred sound.
