In this Intensive Workshop we will learn how to manipulate a manton (Spanish shawl) with all its beauty and tricks. In order to be a part of the workshop you must have a dance grade manton that is big enough and heavy enough to do the exercises that we will work on in class. If you do not know where to buy such a manton, I can help. Here is a video that will help explain what sort of manton you need.

Classes will take place twice a week in September, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 pm at ArtsKC . As the floor is cement we will be wearing tennis shoes and not flamenco shoes..
There are two class options:
7 classes to learn how to use a manton
8 classes + perform in Melinda's show on Friday, Sept 26th at 7:30 pm. If you opt for the second option you must attend the last class on Sept 25th in person as this will be a class/dress rehearsal with live music.
