Each program includes time for self-guided tours of the mansion and the opportunity to enjoy an entertaining history presentation in the Tahitian Room, America’s oldest in-home tiki bar! Your ticket includes a complimentary canned drink served from the mansion’s other quirky basement party space: the Grizzly Bar. If you’re looking for a fun and casual way to learn something new while connecting with other history fans, then this event is for you!
🎠April 20 – Ladies Behind the Scenes
There’s no business like show business, and there’s no show business quite like 1920s Broadway. At this Mansion Mixer, we’re digging into theatre by exploring the lives of four women whose work behind the scenes made headlines. Want to learn how Anne Nichols became a multi-millionaire by writing a play critics hated? Curious about how Renee Harris became a Broadway producer after surviving the Titanic? Join us in the Tahitian Room to discover these stories and more over a drink. We invite you to join in the drama of the evening by wearing your best 1920s or Broadway inspired costume!
📅 Event Schedule:
-6:30 PM – Doors open
-6:30 to 7:45 PM – Time for self-guided tours and socializing
-Presentations will be offered in the Tahitian Room at 6:45 and 7:15 PM
-7:45 PM – Costume contest voting and theatre trivia
-8:30 PM – Event ends
🎫 Event cost:
- $25 General Admission
- Brucemore Supporters receive $5 off per ticket
- A $4 processing fee will be added to all online and phone orders.
