Hey everyone! We are officially teaming up with Twin Cities Pride this year, and we need your help to make it happen! This is a massive opportunity for us to support an incredible community event while raising some funds for our chapter.
You do not have to be a member to help us out! Friends, family, and partners are more than welcome to sign up with you.
We have two different ways you can pitch in. Take a look below to find the slots that work best for you:
1. ID Checkers (Loring & Stonewall Beer Gardens) Keep the lines moving and the good vibes flowing! These shifts are solid 3.75 to 4.25-hour blocks. Pride hooks you up with a volunteer t-shirt, a parking pass, snacks/drinks, and a free meal (vegetarian and vegan options are covered!). You will get a quick training video sent to your email as soon as we receive it. Just watch it before festival weekend so you know the drill.
2. JCI Shakopee Membership Table Hang out at our booth and tell festivalgoers what the Jaycees are all about! These are quick, easy 2 to 2.5-hour shifts to keep our table staffed. Since this table is our own JCI setup and not run by the festival, these quick shifts don't qualify for the Pride perks (t-shirts, parking, meals) on their own.
Want to do it all? Knock out a quick shift at the membership table, then team it up with a Beer Garden shift right before or after. You will double your impact for the chapter and unlock all the free food, parking, and t-shirt perks!
Quick Note on Accessibility If you need a lift into the park, Pride can provide golf cart rides to the volunteer tent if you get dropped off at the edge of the park or grab an accessible spot on Maple and 15th (heads up, those spots fill fast). Just let us know ahead of time so we can coordinate. Note that they can't drive the carts on regular city streets, so rides aren't available from the Dunwoody lot.
