Manitou Ghost Tours (our 30th year)

This will mark our 30th year producing the Ghost Stories of Old Manitou Walking Tours. Each year we provide an entirely new and original script and experience. This year will be the first time we have had tours on Halloween.

On these eerie yet fun ghost tours you will encounter ghosts of historical Manitou figures through performance. This year, the ghostly spirits come back to visit for four weekends in October (Oct 3,4,10,11,17 ,18, 24 and 31).

Walking Tours this year will again take place in the Historic Downtown District of Manitou Springs.

The Manitou Springs Heritage Center, along with our friends at THEATREdART, provide these evening tours that are thoughtfully scripted and brilliantly presented to provide a fun, family experience.

The walking tours are outside rain or shine. You will be accompanied by a "Spirit Guide" whom will provide some narration and guide you from scene to scene. Pull back the mystic veil for an all-new adventure through The Spirit World! Seven new scenes with the characters you’ve grown to love. This not-so-spooky ghost tour is full of fun and excitement for all ages.

On this year's tours you will get to

--Test your mettle with General Zebulon Pike.

--Encounter the magic of Soapy.

--Learn beautification techniques with The Homicidal Hairdresser.

--Take a haunted selfie with Dr. Bell.

Tours are approximately 1 hour and depart from the Manitou Springs Heritage Center (517 Manitou Avenue) starting at 5:30 pm and every 15 minutes thereafter. The tour distance is a little less than a mile and there will be some seating for those who need a rest. The tours do go over grass and bumpy areas. Early tours will be in daylight whilst later times will be dark - so select your time to meet your wishes.

Children under 11 are free (no ticket required)
