Thursday, January 29, 9:00-11:00 AM (rescheduled from January 22). Join the Mangrove Chapter of the Florida Native plant Society and Armando Ubeda, Sarasota County Florida Sea Grant Extension Agent III, for a walk at Lemon Bay Park, 570 Bay Park Blvd., Englewood. Armando will share how to identify the various mangroves (our chapter’s mascot) found growing at the park. Discussion will include how the hurricanes have affected their growth and efforts that have been made to restore them. This event is free and all are welcome.
