Now is the time to start planning and creating your entries for the world in-famous biennial Fakes & Forgeries Art competition and exhibition, planned for Labour Week-end 2025.
Celebrating 18 years since its inception in 2007, F&F’s was inspired by Mangaweka born forger Karl Sim (aka C.F. Goldie) and will be held at the equally celebrated and vivaciously vivid “Yellow Church” Art Gallery, in Mangaweka, right on State Highway One!
The format is simple; Create an exact replica, A copy with a twist, or a Completely new design/image, yet done in the style of a recognisable Artist or Artwork (say Picasso, Warhol, Constable or even a Colin McMahon!).
