Mandarin Book Club: Becoming the New Second Generation 成為新二代
About this Event
How do you (or your children) define yourself while living between cultures, languages, generations, or places? What are your thoughts when talking about identity, belonging, inheritance, and change?
In this Mandarin Book Club, you are invited to bring a book connected to the theme "Becoming the New Second Generation" (成為新二代). Briefly introduce your chosen book to the group; we will exchange thoughts, experiences, and reflections together.
You can explore the theme in different ways:
- How does someone become part of a new society?
- What does "integration" or "fitting in" mean to you?
- What happens when multiple cultures, languages, and traditions meet within one person or one family?
- What does it mean to belong?
