Mandala on the Rocks with Lourdes Lopez-Isa

There’s something quietly hypnotic about drawing a mandala on a stone: no grid, no rules, just repetition, symmetry, and the small satisfaction of watching a pattern unfold under your own hand. In this two-hour workshop, you’ll ink your own elegant mandala stones to keep, gift, or simply sit on your desk as a reminder to slow down. No drawing experience required — just patience and a steady-ish hand. We’ll start with basic mandala structure (centering, radial symmetry, simple motifs) before moving into your own designs. By the end, you’ll leave with 1–2 finished stones and a technique you can keep practicing at home. All skill levels are welcome, ages 16+.
You’ll learn:
-How to find and mark a center point for balanced, symmetrical designs
-Building patterns through repetition, not perfection
-Working with a dip pen and extra-fine nib for crisp, controlled linework
-How working small and slow can be its own form of meditation
