Youth Pride
The party kicks off as soon as we get back from the parade, around 1:30pm — and The Proud Place will be buzzing across all three floors and outside.
Here’s everything happening throughout the afternoon so you can plan your day!
Mainstage — Ground Floor
- 1:30–3:00 — DJ Nath
Queer anthems, Pride classics, and big energy to get the party started. - 3:00–4:00 — Drag School Showcase
Performances from our incredible young drag artists. - 4:00–5:00 — Ruth Welsh
Musical and queer pop performance. - 5:00–6:00 — Open Mic
Music, poetry, drag, comedy, whatever you want to bring to the stage. (Sign up on the day)
Outside — Street Space
- 2:45 / 3:45 / 4:45 — Mini Pride
A tiny Pride parade you can join throughout the afternoon. - 3:00–3:45 — Prairie Dogs Line‑Dancing Taster
- 2:00–5:00 — Chill‑Out Zone & Lawn Games
A quieter outdoor space to relax, play, and breathe.
Community Hub — Middle Floor
Creative, cosy, and full of things to get stuck into.
- 2:00–3:00 — “What Pride Means to Me” Community Art Wall.
- 2:00–4:00 — Young Identity Writing Workshop
A taster session for young writers and storytellers. - 3:00–5:00 — Clothes Swap with Affleck’s Beg, Sell, Borrow
Bring your old unwanted clothes and swap for something new‑to‑you. - 5:00–6:00 — Zine Workshop with Georgie Brookes
Make your own Pride zine to take home.
There will also be a quiet zone on this floor for anyone who needs it.
Top Floor — Bookable Sessions (Free)
These sessions have limited spaces and must be booked through our Eventbrite page separately.
