About this Event

Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved.

No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s.

Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.

We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.

Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?

Prefer a Pastry to a Pint? Head along to ‘People Planet Pastry’! Equally relaxed and welcoming, they run during the day and offer an informal way to learn about what is going on locally in sustainability.

Your Volunteer Hosts

With a background in raising equity investment and growing disruptive scale-ups, Vimesh Roopun worked on over 60 equity investment rounds raising £40M+ before joining creative tech startup Player+ as Head of Growth and working with multi-platinum bands on concert films (Duran Duran Secret Oktober and KALEO VIVA ROMA). As founder of Catalyst Seventeen, Vimesh puts his startup experience towards founders making the world a better, more interesting place, working with the likes of Carbon Neutral Fuels on their £1.1M crowdfunding campaign, and has spoken on panels at Innovate UK events, Climb24, International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference, and Pro Manchester’s Green Tech Conference.

Hannah Cox is the founder of the Better Business Network and the Better Business Summit, and one of just three UK companies to formally put Nature on the Board. A first-time ultrarunner and purpose-led entrepreneur, Hannah will be the first person to run 100 marathons in 100 days along the Inland Customs Line, a forgotten colonial boundary stretching 4,200km across India and Pakistan, to raise £1 million for 1% for the Planet.

Nick Booton is a purpose-driven creative, specialising in delivering sustainable storytelling through design, strategy and art direction. For the past 4 years Nick has worked as responsible creative lead at The Onlii in Leeds, a B Corp creative agency and proud member of the ethical agency alliance. Here he led on marketing campaigns and experiential concepts for global consumer brands such as PUMA and The North Face, as well as helping position and grow values-led startups and independents. He now works as a freelance consultant, acting as a conduit between sustainability strategy and purpose-driven storytelling for brands and organisations who are doing things differently in their sectors. Nick is also actively involved in several think-tanks and industry advocacy movements, helping grow communities and conversations here in Manchester.

KRYSTAL are an award-winning, 100% renewably powered web hosting provider, with datacentres in the UK, US, & Europe. They are climate positive, and their approach centres on value, quality and transparency.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Krystal (the UK's only B Corp web hosting/cloud provider), and welcome them on board as sponsors of the People, Planet, Pint events.

This means the first 10 drinks are on Krystal at every event, and has allowed us to invest and upscale the series to accelerate action on climate change.

We’re also breaking the mold of traditional sustainability training by empowering teams with the confidence and ownership over positive actions they can take with in person experiences.

Since 2023, we have directly trained over 3,000 businesses on Net Zero and carbon reduction and have reached over 50,000 businesses with our events and digital tools.
