MANAGING HERBAL LEYS

This workshop is part of a series of events aimed at farmers who are growing herbal leys or maintaining grass/legume swards and trying to reduce input costs.

We will meet at Bootle Village Hall for talks from soil specialist, James Bretherton of AgScope and to hear from local farmer, Ian Woodall, about his experiences of sowing herbal leys for the first time last year.

After lunch, we will then share vehicles to visit the herbal leys established by Ian at Row End Farm.

Lunch will be pies from the Brown Cow at Waberthwaite so please let us know any dietary requirements. This workshop is being funded by the Catchment Sensitive Farming programme in partnership with the Farmer Network.
