Malurika Exhibition NANIZANO
On 6 September NANIZANO opens in the Eixample — the first of four chapters in Ksenia Malurika's exhibition project. Every week the space will change completely; the exhibition runs into October.
The artist Ksenia Malurika embroiders human organs in glass beads. A heart. Lungs. A womb. A stomach. A single eye holds thirty-five thousand beads; the stomach, twenty-two thousand. The material allows no room for error: the thread snaps, the beads are lost, and the form comes apart from a single wrong movement. The exhibition is about fragility, and about a form holding only while someone keeps holding it.
17:00–22:00, free entry.
