Malt and Barley Live Whiskey Festival

Every year, PYE proudly hosts Malt & Barley Live, a festival that celebrates all things whiskey, a true homage to the spirit of the nation.

Last year, we welcomed over 25 brands and distilleries, with more than 150 whiskey enthusiasts joining us for a day of sampling, connecting, learning, and celebrating. It was a whiskey lover’s dream come true!

This year, expect an even more incredible lineup of world-class whiskies, immersive experiences, and opportunities to connect with the people behind the spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a curious beginner, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

On arrival, you’ll be given a tasting glass to explore a curated selection of whiskeys available at the many brands spaning the exhibition floor,

Sip, savour & socialise with brand representives, spirit ambassadors and industry experts as you discover new flavours, and deepen your knoledge of whiskey.

Whether you’re curious about the craftsmanship behind a single malt or looking to find your next go-to bottle, there’s plenty to explore.

Master class Deep Dive

Immerse yourself in a 45-minute masterclass that takes your appreciation for spirits to a whole new level. Our Deep Dive Sessions focus on a single brand, guiding you through its rich history, intricate production methods, and distinct flavor profiles. Led by industry experts, these sessions are designed to refine your palate and deepen your understanding of what makes each brand exceptional.

Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or a curious newcomer, our Deep Dive Sessions are the perfect opportunity to savor the story behind the spirits.

During our 2023 & 2024 Deep Dives, we had the pleasure of breaking down the exclusive, the rare, the old and even Ireland’s firsts!

Some highlights included the Glendalough 17 year old Mizunara Cask, Nikka Yoichi 10 Year, & unreleased entries from Dingle’s acclaimed Celtic Wheel Series.
