On the approach to Autumn Equinox, this one day retreat is an opportunity to gather in community, to move, to explore, to rest and to be still.
The Equinox is a potent time to pause and to invite the energies of balance into our being and our lives. Through embodiment practice, enquiry, sound healing and conscious dance we will engage with our heart centre and the intelligence of our moving body.
This day retreat will offer a focus on embodiment of the heart centre as a pathway to balance and unity.
The heart centre is a doorway into a vast and powerful energy field, one that research shows is capable of changing the electromagnetic field of the Earth. It is designed to balance all of our experiences and to unify our sense of self at every level, in solitude, in relationship, in community and with Spirit.
Open Floor movement invites embodiment of our essence through soulful enquiry, somatic practice and free form dance. It offers core movement resources that anchor attention and encourage connection to our physical, emotional, mental and soul dimensions.
Our greatest strength sits at the core of our vulnerability and can be tapped into when we risk opening ourselves to what arises in the moment and allowing it to be there. In the dance we meet the intelligence of the life force moving through us, we practice listening and offering what arises into motion. This helps us access our innate ability to heal and transform, encouraging us to shift from fixed or stuck positions physically, emotionally and mentally into more fluid and balanced ways of being in our lives.
This workshop will include an immersive sound healing journey from Paul Hotae from originalselfmedicine.com. It is open to all and no previous experience of conscious dance or moving meditation is necessary.
