About this Event
A Mala necklace is more than just jewelry — it’s a symbol of mindfulness, intention, and personal expression. Traditionally used for meditation and reflection, Malas have also become a beloved statement piece, recognized for their elegant strands and signature tassel. Whether you’re seeking a meaningful tool for your practice or a beautiful accessory, this class is for you.
In this creative workshop, you’ll learn the art of knotting between stones — a valuable technique that can be applied to creating or repairing other jewelry such as pearl or beaded pieces--while also learning about the history and significance of the Mala necklace. With guided instruction, you’ll design and craft your own necklace, ready to wear or gift as a truly special handmade treasure.
The cost includes everything you need: gemstones, natural stone beads, silk thread for knotting, and a tassel. There are many options to choose from in color, stone types, and alternatives to the tassel.
Most students complete their first necklace in approximately 2–3 hours.
Reserve your spot through the Eventbrite link, and feel free to bring beverages or snacks to enjoy during this relaxing and creative experience. You will also receive 10% off if you choose to shop in the store on the day of the class.
*Refund/reschedule policy: Craft class tickets are non-refundable. We require 48 hours notice for reschedule requests, please send requests to [email protected]. Our craft classes require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. If you are unable to attend a class at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend. Thank you for understanding!
