About this Event
is an evening of inspirational speakers, in aid of the Wilderness Foundation UK and supporting the Wilderness Art Collective, sharing our adventurous and therapeutic relationship to water, impacts of climate change and other threats to seas and rivers. Speakers include :Professor Jules Pretty, multi author including The Low-Carbon Good Life and Sea Sagas of the North; enjoy the harrowing journey by explorer Mark Agnew (European Adventurer of the Year 2023) on the record breaking sea kayaking crossing of the North West Passage; Amy-Jane Beer naturalist, writer and campaigner and author of the award winning The Flow, Rivers, Waters and Wilderness and Dr Helen Scales, marine biologist, writer and broadcaster, and author of many books about the ocean including the Guardian bestseller Spirals in Time, New York Times top summer read The Brilliant Abyss.
Doors open at 6pm - Early guests can enjoy the Waterlines Art Exhibition and cash bar
There will be an interval, raffle and a 5min auction during the event
